Book signing and NEW bamboo metal wall art on display
Cheyenne Rouse and Luis Escobar will be available for book signing at the McKenna Pro Booth #429 during show hours on Saturday and Sunday. Get to know these two photographic artists firsthand while viewing an array of newly launched fine art products on display that have turned their art pieces into cash.
Editions of each artist’s book will be available for purchase at the booth. Cheyenne’s book celebrates “…the Legend, the Lore and the Landscape of the Great American Southwest” and the HDR capture process that refueled her creativity. Luis’ book illustrates “Running with Tarahumara”, an inspiration story of how Luis combined his love for running and outdoors with his photography business – a combination of running as his sanctuary, his way of life with his profession.
Sony will exhibit the latest in imaging technology at booth #701!
Sony will exhibit the latest in digital imaging technology, consisting of Alpha/NEX/Cyber-shot/Handycam/Action Cam, and for the professionals our newest in 4K broadcast camcorders. Sony will also demonstrate the new 4K XBR TV’s just launched by Sony Electronics. The Sony manufacturer representatives will be in attendance for this event, giving the consumers the ability to speak directly to the experts.
LA Photoshop Users Group offering mini workshops
The Los Angeles Photoshop Users Group (LAPUG) will be offering mini workshops held throughout The Big Photo Show, and providing expert advice by fellow enthusiasts. Come and discover the array of services offered by LAPUG members, and check out a stunning display of artwork created by members. Free Photo Walk with Photographers and Digital Artists of Los Angeles
A fun and a new way of looking at things will be the goal for this photo walk led by professional photographers. Join them for new ways of taking captivating images that tell the story about your travel adventure or just a fun day at the park. Each member of the family will have a chance to tell their story in pictures. All cameras are welcome; bring whatever you use to record images from the point and shoots to the DSLR.
We will meet outside the Staples Center at the foot of the Magic Johnson statute on Sunday morning, May 5, 2013. We will begin our walk promptly at 9:00 a.m. with plenty of time to capture images in the LA Live area in time to enter The Big Photo Show when doors open at the Convention Center at 10:00 a.m. It’s a free family friendly event! Meet Erin, learn more about digital photography, build your confidence, and plan to be inspired with practical tips and techniques for capturing your own beautiful photographs. Erin Manning is a digital photography expert and host of DIY Network’s Telly Award-winning TV series "The Whole Picture." In addition to creating and hosting the popular Digital Photography 101 video series, she is also the author of two books, Portrait and Candid Photography and Make Money with Your Digital Photography. She will be teaching about lighting techniques, both natural light and studio lighting, at The Big Photo Show.
Fireball Tim demonstrates the proper techniques for photographing/videoing cars
Hollywood Legend and TV personality/producer Fireball Tim Lawrence will bring in his stable of Hollywood Show Cars to Sony’s Super Car Shooting Pavilion adjacent to the Sony display. Bring your camera or camcorder with you as Fireball Tim will be doing a demonstration and teach proper techniques for photographing/videoing a car each day. Meet at 11:00 a.m. at Booth 711 in front of the 2013 Camaro Convertible. He will also be doing a book signing for his new children’s book – Fireball Tim’s Big Book of Wacky Rides.
